It's awfully hard to do a write-up on a person who has no history. I have searched high and low for something, ANYTHING, on Paul Labbey, and have found nothing. Even searching web sites in France have not helped. For the longest time, I was the only Vangelis collector who had this record, although two other collectors located copies in 2000. Anyways, this is an early example of Vangelis doing production work for another artist, obviously done while living in France during the Aphrodite's Child years (possibly 1969?). It does not sound like Vangelis plays on this record. Mr. Labbey provides vocals to the tracks "Mon Bel Ange Blond/Ma Romance". You'll notice on the record label it says "Prod. E. Papathanassiou". What's the E.? Evanghelos, the proper birth name of Vangelis. Good luck finding a copy, I've only ever seen three copies, so it won't be cheap to find.
