VANGELIS Voices

Voices offered a nice selection of vocal collaborations from a few east west artists, such as Stina Nordenstam, Paul Young and Caroline Lavelle. Vangelis has always utilized vocals throughout his career, but it seems like folks forget that when an album like Voices comes out, as if the use of vocalists is a different approach for the keyboardist. His choice of vocalists for this album is unique, however. The early promotional poster for the album held the promise of an LP pressing of the album. Sadly, it never happened. At least the album generated singles, and there were two singles from this album. The Stina Nordenstam CD single is especially nice, as it provides a bonus track not released on the album. I know for a fact that Vangelis recorded more songs with each of the vocalist here. There are two more Paul Young tracks that we may never hear...Perhaps someday, a reissue will come out with those extra tracks on it.
